3.2.- Plant, seeds and fruit.

Fruits grow from flowers. Each plant produces a different fruit, and they have different colours, shapes and sizes.

We classify fruit into two groups: fleshy fruit and nuts.

  • Fleshy fruit is juicy because it has a lot of water. Pears, apples and melons are fleshy fruit.

  • Nuts do not have a lot of water. Acorns and peanuts are nuts.

Seeds are inside fruit. Some fruits have only one seed. Others have a lot of seeds. Some seeds, like tomato seeds, are soft; but others like lemon seeds, are hard.
