There are different flat landscapes:

  • Plains are flat lands with not much height respecting on sea level.

  • Plateaus are flat lands higher than lands around.

  • Basins are flat lands lower than lands around.

Plains are huge extensions of flat land. Many plains have fertile soil, and people grow crops there.

Valleys are the flat lands between mountains.

Rivers start in the mountains, and run through the valleys.
