Water can be found in three different states: liquid, solid and gas.

• The water we drink is liquid water. So is the water in the rivers, lakes and the sea. Clouds are made up of tiny drops of liquid water.
• Ice, snow and hailstones are solid water.
• Water vapour is a gas.
